An original art print is an artwork that has been manually printed or printed under the artist’s direction by the artist. It is not a reproduction.
The image is created by the artist on block, stone, plate or screen from which the final print is produced. The artist will then choose the paper that the image is printed on, generally a thick stock, acid free archival paper. The artist determines the edition and size of the print as well as the number of copies to be printed.
Generally, once printed, the artist will then number and sign each of the prints.
